Rocketry Resources

The following resources are made available to help new rocketeers get started in the hobby.

Tripoli Rocketry Association
Tripoli is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement and operation of non-professional high power rocketry. Tripoli has members in the United States and 22 countries around the world.

If you are new to high power rocketry, we encourage you to contact one of Tripoli’s many local organizations and attend their next launch.

Check the latest news from the TRA HQ for upcoming events, and other news. Tripoli What's New.

High power rocket motors (motors with total impulse of H class or higher) are only available to certified users. To become a certified user, you must join Tripoli or NAR and successfully fly a rocket with a high power motor under the supervision of a Prefect. More information can be found in Tripoli's certification section.

National Association of Rocketry
The National Association of Rocketry is the oldest and largest sport rocketry organization in the world. Since 1957, over 80,000 serious modelers have joined the NAR to take advantage of the fun and excitement of organized rocketry!
Get together with rocket flyers in a NAR Section near you -- participate in building sessions, launches, and more!

Low Explosives User Permit (LEUP) forms
Any user wishing to store restricted access rocket motors, must obtain a LEUP for storage. The application forms are listed here. For information on the joint lawsuit from NAR/Tripoli, visit Tripoli's court documents. Be sure to check your state and local laws before applying for a LEUP. "Limited Use" LEUP's are not recommended for rocketeers unless you only plan to fly a couple times a year.
Rocketmotion, Inc. and Mojave Desert High Power offer contingency storage letters for customers who do not wish to store motors, but simply use them at launches. For information on a storage letter, please contact us.

Rocketry Online
Rocketry Online is the single largest site for rocketry on the Internet. You can find just about anything rocketry, as well as keep up to date on the latest news and happenings.
